About

Great Rodeo. Great People. Great Badgerland

OUR STORY

Built on Wisconsin Pride And a Love of Rodeo

Great Badgerland Pro Rodeo was created to bring the excitement of professional rodeo to Jefferson and the surrounding communities. From skilled competitors and outstanding livestock to a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, GBPR celebrates the people and traditions that make rodeo special.

After an unforgettable first year, we’re proud to return to Jefferson County Fair Park and continue building a rodeo tradition that Wisconsin families can enjoy for years to come.

BIG HAT RODEO

A Family Rodeo Tradition Since 1920.

For more than a century, rodeo has been a Calzavara family tradition. What began in 1920 has been passed from one generation to the next, carrying forward a deep respect for the sport, its competitors, and the livestock at the heart of every performance.

Based in Harvard, Illinois, Big Hat Rodeo brings that family experience and dedication to the Great Badgerland Pro Rodeo. Every detail reflects generations of hard work and a shared commitment to producing professional rodeo entertainment that families can experience together.
